A la Moda

It arrived today! My Moda charm pack arrived.

I have no idea what to make with it.

Now I'm feeling intimidated. These are some great fabrics and I want to really show them off. Hrm. I'll have to think about this for a bit.

Any suggestions? Any quilt patterns you could suggest? I have 36 5" squares; one of each fabric in the picture.

I have some Moda charm packs and what I am planning to do is just set them in rows using white/off-white strips. I am planning to use strips about 2-1/2", the same size as jelly roll strips. (I am cheap so I buy white sheets at Goodwill on Sundays for 99 cents and cut those up.)
Not sure if I explained it right, but let's say you wanted to set them 7 x 5 so you will use 35 of your squares. Then cut strips of your white- 2-1/2" by 5" and sew them like this: charm, strip, charm, strip, charm, strip, etc. (I lay mine out first so I know where I want them placed.) Then when you have 7 rows, you cut long strips of your white and sew a row, strip, row, strip, etc. Then all you have to do is cut strips to sew all the way around and it will look like the squares are floating on a bed of white. You could add borders or not.
I read through my directions and they are a bit confusing. If you want me to explain it better, send me an e-mail or leave a message on my blog.
