I'm not the type of person to go ga-ga over fabric. Sure, some patterns and colors appeal to me more than others. But, generally, I don't squeal like a school-girl or get all giddy about fabric.
Or, I didn't.
At least, not until I found Moda's Lila Tuller Eden collection.
*swoon*
Someone pass the smelling salts!

I am now on a quest to find the most perfect, modern quilt pattern for this fabric. Because of the large prints, I am hesitant to use most quilt patterns. I want to show off this big, bold print! I want everyone who sees my quilt to be intrigued and engrossed with the fabrics.
Yes, it's a sick kind of love, isn't it?
A quilt with this fabric... she shall be mine.. oh yes she shall!
Fabric Love
Fabric lust
I'm still in the beginning stages of my pinwheel quilt and already I'm crushing on new fabrics! Go ahead, click. Just click already! I'll sit here and wait while you drool.
SEE WHAT I MEAN?!!
I so need these fabrics! I haven't decided which ones I want, but if you know me then you know that the purples will be the main fabrics.
I love how soft and romantic the lines of these designs are! I love the greens mixed with the pinks, yellows and purples. Love, love, love!
Now I need to find a quilt pattern to use.
Don't worry, dear pinwheel quilt, I won't abandon you.
Yet.
A la Moda
It arrived today! My Moda charm pack arrived.
I have no idea what to make with it.
Now I'm feeling intimidated. These are some great fabrics and I want to really show them off. Hrm. I'll have to think about this for a bit.
Any suggestions? Any quilt patterns you could suggest? I have 36 5" squares; one of each fabric in the picture.
I have an addiction!
Thanks a lot Leigh. LOL
I am addicted to buying fat quarters and jelly rolls on eBay!! It's so so cheap!
I bought a pack of five fat quarters from Joann's. It was $10 and I felt incredibly guilty at the cost.
This charm pack of 37 5" squares was $7.05. Still more than I wanted to pay, but I fell in love with the fabric! And this Moda charm pack... are you sitting down? Only $3.78 for 36 5" squares!! Can you stand it!!!
I don't dare share the links for the auctions I'm currently bidding on; you might snipe them away from me! But I'm dieing to win this one!
See what I mean? ADDICTED!!
I have been sucked in
Into the world of quilting!!
I really enjoy making them - even as rudimentary as my first few projects have been.
I just found a bunch of I Love Lucy material. My sister-in-law loves ILL and collects the memorabilia. I know she'd love a bag or a quilt with this material. I might make her a simple ragged edge quilt with it since it seems pretty easy. Yes, I'm already working on presents for next Christmas.
I have spent the past few days exploring blogs and quilting websites. It's a bit overwhelming but so very inspiring.
